Trupanion Pet Insurance - 2008/2010
I was the sole UX/UI/Print designer for Trupanion for two years. Web work included designing/coding multiple sites with pages in the ASP.Net MVC framework. In that time we evolved the website many times. Most recently we did a major overhaul to add SEO text and better target keywords. These screenshots reflect some of those updates.
Trupanion Home Page
I created a new design to accomodate the new SEO text and keywords. I redesigned the header, footer and navigation. The main body was a brand new layout except for the big photo and quote module.
Quote Page
As you can see there is a lot going on here. This is the page where the consumer gets the quote estimate. This design was launched in Dec 2009. The unique aspect to this page is the deductible slider. When you grab the handle and slide back and forth, you can watch your deductible and monthly premium adjust. The visual design may have changed, but the interaction should be pretty much the same. You also have the ability to add more pets, compare pet insurance companies, get a policy summary and most importantly start the enrollment process.
Breed Guide
The breed guide was a challenge. We had to design a section that was scalable and manageable yet comprehensive. Most of the content is database driven. With the developer's help I designed a single page that could be easily updated that accomodates every breed. This includes the URL and anything that would be SEO related. In conjunction with the breeds we designed a related health concerns guide that directly ties into each breed. Again for more interaction, visit trupanionpetinsurance.com
